14 Carrots Co-op

14 Carrots officially became a coop as of July 22, 2003, after being privately

owned for 18 years. Thanks to all of the members and loyal customers who

have made this possible.

What is a Cooperative (Co-op)?

A "Co-op" is a member-owned, member-controlled business that

operates for the mutual benefit of all members according to the

international principles of cooperation.

As a Co-op, 14 Carrots adopts these principles:

Voluntary and open membership

Democratic member control

Member economic participation

Autonomy and independence

Household Membership

$120 buys you a lifetime household membership. An equity share investment

of $120 is good for a household membership for 1 to 4 adults. This includes one voting share for the household. Members can pay upon joining or divide payment into easy installments over four months. As a new member, you must sign a 14 Carrots Cooperative membership agreement that makes you an official member of the Co-op.

What is a voting share?

You are welcome to participate on committees, vote in all Co-op elections

and be involved in the policies and business decisions of the Co-op.
